SATURDY AFTERNOON, MESSING AROUND

DREAMS

There is a lot in the news and even more in the wind. I am astonished at the dreams people are having. People who are not given to flights of fancy and superfluity. They are telling me in exact detail of dreams they have and the majority of them are of a time of trouble or major change. A couple of them have made the hair on my neck stand up. I would tell you more but I will not tell who has told me what. I have to keep some things private. But the overall consensus is that things are going to be bad. Get ready. If you get any dreams you would like to talk about, I would be happy to hear from you.

HOME SCHOOLING

One of the big things in the news is the California Court of Appeals ruling AGAINST home schooling. If you want to hear the state telling the people to stick it where the sun don't shine, here is an excerpt from the decision:

"In obedience to the constitutional mandate to bring about a general diffusion of knowledge and intelligence, the Legislature, over the years, enacted a series of laws. A primary purpose of the educational system is to train school children in good citizenship, patriotism and loyalty to the state and the nation as a means of protecting the public welfare."

I am assuming you picked up on that part about loyalty to the state.

Let me tell you about schools, and I learned this 50 years ago. Public schools are were created to further the transfer of middle class values to the students. We got the system from the German State of Prussia. In essence, what schools really do is teach what that court decision says, loyalty to the state. And I reckon if that is what you want for your child to learn then you may as well go for it. If you want your child to learn knowledge and wisdom and clear thinking then you had better school them at home. My children went to school here where I live for the first years of their lives. They are pretty sharp cookies. I am proud of them.

PREPARATIONS

I have said this before but it needs said again. Prepare while you can. These are the good days. It is not time to prepare for looters when a gang of them are outside your home blazing away with whatever type of arsenal they have. It's mostly too late at that point! If you are not ready at that point then you may as well be prepared to run like hell. But to be a successful runner you have to be prepared, you have to train. Preparedness is a big part of staying alive.

And just buying stuff will not be enough, for the most part. So go ahead and buy a bunch of guns and ammo and store them away. Will you be able to hit the broad side of a barn when the time comes to really shoot to save your ass and the lives of those you love? Hell. There are people who can't hit the broad side of a barn if they were IN the damn barn! So go shoot your guns a little bit. I ain't saying you have to become a world class shot, though it wouldn't hurt a bit. I am saying that you should be familiar with your weapons and know how to hit what you are aiming at. My advice in case approach by a marauding band is to shoot first and make it count. You are not a trained soldier and damn few of us are. But those guys telling you to get a decent battery of guns know what the hell they are talking about. And I am as neglectful as any of you and I have not taken my wife shooting and I am to blame for that. I will try to remedy that when the weather gets better and that might be this coming week, maybe around Wednesday or Thursday.

But we really do need to get ready. We need to be prepared. If you aren't ready or you don't have someone to fight for you, then it's time for the Purple Kool-aid. And we are not suicidal! We are out to survive whatever they throw at us! We intend to exist and go forward in the new day that is being created!

Get ready and stay alive.
