RELIGION AND POLITICS

Cold, gray day here in southern Indiana. It's eight o'clock in the morning and I still haven't seen the Sun. Just a few more days until the Winter Solstice and then we can start growing some longer days. Then pretty soon it will be garden time! Prepping like crazy!

I want to get on a delicate subject this morning. I not only do not celebrate Christmas, but I do not believe in Christmas. I believe it is an abomination before God. It is a hoax. And it is not in the Bible.

When Rome got out of the world governing business they got into the church business. They set out immediately to gain followers. And since they weren't too spiritual to begin with they started compromising with other religions in order to bring them into the fold. Their targets were the pagans, which Rome was hard pressed to surpass anyhow. Most pagan religions had a festival around the time of the Winter Solstice. One pagan group called their festival Saturnalia. Rome merely had their own festival around this time and focused it on their half God , half Man deity. They called him Jesus. And he was a real guy, you understand, and beloved of God, and the speaker of a new covenant between God and Man and a very powerful psychic. In fact, he was phenomenal in the spirit. For his day he was the most powerful spiritual man who was walking around on the planet. I attempt to take nothing from this man. Quite the contrary. I respect him greatly. But I abhor what the leaders of Rome have done to the memory of him.

What that man tried to get across to humanity 2000 years ago is 180 degrees to what is being preached in his name in this day and age. All wars and abominations are committed in his name. Great churches are built while millions starve around the world. Every sexual crime imaginable is committed by the clergy who say they represent him. And the list of offenses goes on and on. Doesn't anyone get it? It's all a joke! It's a hoax! You can find as much God in it as you can in a box of Cracker Jacks.

And America is dutifully going out and indulging in her normal orgy of consumerism as is expected this time of year. The charge cards that are still in effect are being run up as high as possible. And the little kiddies are being brainwashed to participate for long into the future. How wonderful for society that they be brainwashed to take their position in this fallacy. Get this, folks: IT IS A HOAX! It is for the fleecing of the sheep. In a few short months you may wish you had spent your money on storable food and seed for your garden. These things will show that you truly love certain individuals. Going asshole over appetite in debt for meaningless gifts will not prove your love. It will merely prove that you are a faithful donor to the system. How sick.

Now I want to talk a little bit about the so called bail out going on within our financial system. You will notice that not a damn thing you have anything to do with is being bailed out. This bail out is for the rich and the well connected. The automobile industry will get their pound of flesh as soon as they have been humbled some more. Those politicians haven't enjoyed kissing GM's as for the last 50 some years. So they will humble them down a bit and then give them the money. Obama will see to it.

The rich are getting the money from the bail out. The banks are still paying their bonuses as usual and so is Wall Street. No where else is a huge bonus expected for doing your job. That is what your salary is for, in case you might have forgotten. In reading FerFal's blog he gets into the society of people getting ripped off and there is not much they can do about it. All I can say is that they will have to do what they will have to do. The fedgov is bringing 20,000 combat troops home to our shores to help in the event of terrorism or an attack on this nation. And I submit to you, as a rational human being, that these troops are either to keep the American people in line with what the fedgov wants them to do or the fedgov knows something we don't and haven't told us. And as a man, I cannot tell you what the deal is but I know this is not legal according to our constitution. Something is up, my friends. The rich are looting the government treasury and troops are being brought in to aid police. And the Mumbai police would not shoot the terrorists with a photographer hollering Shoot! Shoot! at them. What is wrong with this picture? I have thought about the line of bullshit concerning the troops being brought in to handle a possible nuclear event. "Here troopie! Take this broom and go sweep up that nuclear mess!" My reply would be highly vulgar and negative. There is so much crap going on in this world it is unbelievable. Bullshit is being pulled over the people all around the globe. Wake up folks! The boat is sinking and there is nobody putting the lifeboats over the side. I ain't going down like Argentina. I have preps and I am going to grow more and there is game to hunt and fish and we have no mortgage. I will do my best to look after my family and my friends and do not come to harm them or I will kill you. I promise you that. I am not afraid. But if I can I intend to stay alive.

The most amazing thing that happens to spiritual people is when they are able to dissociate spirituality from "the church."

The perversion of a beautiful ideology, like Christianity, begins with the construction of a building. When you have erected a mosque/synagogue/church, you must, at a minimum, keep the lights on and the grass cut, which costs money. MONEY.

Man's frail history shows that we tend to mix money with ideas, money wins. Money always wins.

Chuckling- good post about beliefs- but every day is a day the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice in it. Also, let us not become entagled in futils disputes about days and seasons and years- they only lead others astray.
It's true commercialism has relegated the birth of Jesus to the junkpile of cash- but that money's only going to win until God decides He's had enough of it and it's time to get the ball rolling.
Which just may not be too far off judging the situation these days.

Well said Michael.

I have a dream of one day moving to the Upper Peninsula and opening a food pantry/outreach for those in need. I wrote about this to a friend and she communicated it to a pastor. He responded back that it was an affront to God to operate on a Sunday. To me it was "doing church" to have a well publicized food giveaway on a Sunday. So, now, before we have even embarked on this venture, the pastor is spreading the news of how we want to desecrate God's day. Crazy. Just crazy.

...the Big Prepper in the sky knows whats going on in our hearts...He knows who's righteous, regardless of 'what' we say(and sometimes do)...remember the old saying "there is no such thing as an athiest in a foxhole"
