NEWS FROM CHARLI GRIBBLE

You know, beavers and muskrats are both vegetarians......
that means they are both edible. You have to be careful
about skinning the muskrat though. Do not let the hair
or any part of the hide touch the meat. You do not want
the 'wild' taste coming thru. They are both fairly good eating.
When Bill was alive we lived in a place called Sinking Cove,
up in the mountains of TN. We had free access to all the
wild things we could catch/kill. Deer, squirrel, beaver, muskrats,
coon, possum, we had all we could eat. That was 20 years ago,
but that is where I learned 'survival'. Bill learned it from his
Cherokee mama and grandma.
